Glidewell Modernizes Operations to Support Global Growth
Microsoft has released a new customer success story highlighting Glidewell Dental’s digital transformation using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management.
Headquartered in the U.S., Glidewell is one of the world’s largest dental solutions providers, managing a global supply chain across multiple regions. The company previously relied on siloed systems and manual processes, limiting operational visibility, slowing fulfillment, and increasing overhead.
Choosing Dynamics 365 and a Phased Rollout Strategy
Following a gap analysis and internal alignment, Glidewell selected Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management as the foundation for a modern ERP environment. In May 2023, the company launched a phased rollout starting with its U.S. labs—home to 80% of its workforce—focusing on financials, warehousing, and fulfillment.
The implementation was led by Avantiico and designed to be collaborative, scalable, and future-ready.
“The implementation with the integrations really created a platform for them. It’s the bedrock to start modernizing the rest of their systems.”
— Traci Rayburn, Program Manager, Avantiico
Measurable Results and Expanded Visibility
By consolidating its finance and supply chain operations into a unified ERP system, Glidewell achieved:
- 12% increase in daily sales order processing
- 40% reduction in order fulfillment costs
- 28% improvement in purchase order processing speed
Teams now benefit from real-time data visibility, automated reporting through Power BI, and streamlined cross-functional workflows.
Preparing for a Global Rollout
With the U.S. implementation live, Glidewell is continuing its transformation. Dynamics 365 has now been deployed to its Colombia business unit, with three additional sites in Mexico scheduled to go live in the coming months.
