The Evolution of Microsoft Dynamics AX
Microsoft Dynamics AX, originally known as Axapta, launched in 1998. It evolved through several versions, including AX 2009 and AX 2012, before being rebranded as Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations in 2016. Today, it exists as Dynamics 365 Finance and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, offering advanced cloud capabilities in two separate applications. When used in tandem, D365 Finance and SCM are commonly referred to as “F&SCM.”
